Running a retreat already asks a lot of you. The venue should make your work lighter, not heavier.
At Poinciana the rooms, the dining, the practice spaces, the spa, the pool, the garden and the sea sit inside one quiet compound on Bali’s north coast. Everything the retreat needs is a short walk apart. Your group moves from morning practice to breakfast, or from the shala to the water, in a couple of minutes.
There are no beach clubs and no nightlife around the property, far less traffic than in the south, and no second retreat group sharing your dinner. The two and a half hours from the airport are part of what you are buying: they keep out most of what your guests came to Bali to escape, and they let the villages around us go on as they are.
Groups come in different sizes, so we hold the resort three ways. Whatever the size, every group gets its own reserved shala and a dining space kept for you at meal times.
Your rooms drawn from the resort, one shala reserved for the whole stay, and the Kitchen & Restaurant kept for your group at every meal. The pool, the beach and the bar stay open to the few individual guests in the other rooms.
Five garden villas, ten rooms in total (six doubles, four twins), set around their own pool. One rate for the whole zone, so inside the wing the only people near you are your own. You pick which of the two shalas is yours for the stay: the air-conditioned one facing the sea, or the open-air one looking towards Mount Batur. Two beachfront villas can be added when a group needs more room, and one can be held for the leader.
The whole property is yours: all 21 rooms, both shalas, both pools, both dining areas, and a beachfront room for the leader at no extra cost. No other guests anywhere, for as long as the retreat runs.
Not sure which one fits? Send your dates and numbers. We will tell you which format makes sense for your group, and which does not.
Upstairs, air-conditioned, facing the water. It seats around 22 and works well for yoga, meditation, breathwork, coaching, writing sessions and group circles, out of the afternoon heat. More on hosting a yoga retreat in North Bali.
A covered outdoor space looking towards Mount Batur, shaded from sun and rain, at its best for early practice as the light comes up.
One shala is reserved for your group across the whole stay. Not booked by the hour, not shared in shifts. Your programme keeps the same room from the first session to the last.
Twenty-one clean, comfortable rooms sit across garden villas, beachfront villas and family units, in double, twin and triple layouts. Several rooms share a two-bedroom villa, which gives you somewhere to place couples, friends and participants travelling together without turning room allocation into a puzzle. The rooms carry a simple Balinese character: space, quiet, daily housekeeping, and the garden, pools and sea a short walk from the bed.
Leaders can take a more private unit while participants stay close to the shared areas and the flow of the day.
Meals are the part of a retreat that needs the most clarity before arrival, so we settle them early. Menus are agreed before the group lands, and the kitchen cooks what it has planned for, day after day.
You choose one of three levels. Half board is breakfast and one main meal. Full board is all main meals, with vegetarian, vegan and other diets planned ahead. The Longevity Menu is Chef Ketut’s wellness board, built on local ingredients and the pace of a retreat. Tea, coffee and water are included for everyone.
Meals are served in the space held for your group, in the main dining area or on one of the sea-facing terraces. Raise severe allergies before you confirm, since the kitchen is shared.
Retreat packages start from Rp 1,300,000 per person per night, breakfast and one main meal included. That gives you a clear starting point before we talk, so you can see at once whether we sit inside your budget.
Groups arriving between 1 December and 30 June receive 15% off under our Value Season. It is the island’s quiet window, and a natural fit for European leaders whose guests are looking for winter warmth.
From there, every group receives a proposal built for its own case, dates, rooms, meals and inclusions, within 48 hours. The full rate card stays private, and every proposal comes from me, so the same rules reach every leader.
Send us your dates and group size. We will tell you which format fits your group, and you will have a complete proposal within 48 hours.
Tell us when, and how many. We take groups of eight or more, for stays of at least six nights.
A complete proposal, with the per-person rate, meal plan, inclusions and conditions itemised, so you can compare and decide on real numbers.
Once you confirm, one coordinator works through the schedule, room allocation, dietary needs, ceremonies and transfers with you.
Your coordinator meets the group on arrival and stays on hand through the retreat.
Around the programme, the days offer as much or as little as your group wants. Sunrise dolphin watching when the sea allows. A visit to Ponjok Batu temple, or a Melukat purification ceremony when it is arranged with care. A morning at Les Waterfall, a Canang Sari offering workshop, a cooking class in our kitchen, or a spa treatment without leaving the grounds.
Each of these runs through local partners your coordinator already works with.
You set the programme. We keep the surroundings in a supporting role, not a competing one.
Unless you take the whole resort, the pools, the beach and the common areas are shared with the individual guests in the other rooms. With 21 rooms in total, that means a handful of travellers, not a crowd. Your group still keeps its own reserved shala and its own dining space, every day.
We put this in front of you now rather than let you find it on arrival. Pricing follows the same principle: your rate reflects dates, rooms and inclusions, set by the same written rules for every leader.
Up to 42 guests when a group takes the whole resort, across 21 rooms and villas. Smaller groups start from 8 participants.
Yes. Yoga, meditation, breathwork, coaching, writing and other group retreats all work here. The venue is built for small groups rather than large events, so the space fits the programme instead of swallowing it.
In Tejakula, on Bali’s north coast, around two and a half hours from Ngurah Rai airport. The distance is part of the point: it keeps the resort quiet and away from the crowds of the south.
Yes. From 15 rooms a group can take the whole property, both shalas, both pools and both dining areas, with a beachfront room for the leader at no extra cost.
A middle option for groups of roughly 10 to 14: five garden villas, ten rooms and their own pool, at one rate for the whole zone, with a reserved shala and dedicated dining. Inside the wing, the only people near your group are your own.
The indoor shala seats around 22 and faces the sea. A second, open-air shala looks towards Mount Batur. One is reserved for your group across the whole stay.
Yes. Groups choose half board, full board or the Longevity Menu, agreed before arrival. Meals are served in a dining space kept for your group.
Yes, planned in advance so the kitchen can prepare them consistently. Raise severe allergies before you confirm, as the kitchen is shared.
The per-person rate, the meal plan, inclusions, the payment schedule and cancellation conditions, all itemised, so you know what you are agreeing to before you agree to it.
It is a calm black-sand stretch on the north coast, quieter than the south. Snorkelling and dolphin trips run along this coast, sea and weather permitting.
Spa treatments on site, or optional local experiences: sunrise dolphin watching, a temple visit, a waterfall morning, a cooking class or a Canang Sari workshop, arranged only when they fit your programme.
